The CLA, which represents landowners, farmers and rural businesses, has commented on the Government response to Lord Cameron’s report on rural proofing.
The Government’s response, published today, is available at www.gov.uk/government/publications/rural-proofing-government-response-to-lord-camerons-review.
CLA President Ross Murray said: “We are pleased that Government is acting on Lord Cameron’s recommendations. Every single Government Department has a role to play in supporting rural communities, from improving connectivity so individuals and rural businesses can get online to transport investments which truly benefit rural areas. The CLA will be working with Defra to keep issues affecting the countryside at the front of mind in all Government Departments.”
