Tuesday 1 May
Farnborough Airport, Farnborough, Hampshire, GU14 0LJ
Visit the UK's first airfield in aviation history and home to the country's first powered flight.
From its earliest days, Farnborough has been a centre of military and civil aviation research. Owned by the Ministry of Defence during two World Wars, Farnborough saw its first civil aviation operations in 1989. After much redevelopment, TAG Aviation took full control under a 99 year lease in 2003, as a fully compliant CAA airport for business aviation. The Farnborough International Airshow continues to be held here every two years.
During this tour you will visit the hangars, the air traffic control tower, look at the aircraft and take a ride down the runway.
Cost: £15 including VAT for CLA members and their guests, £25 including VAT for non-members.
We're sorry, this event is now full. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, please contact Esme Jepp at the South East office on 01264 313434.
