Your Local CLA Branch

Our policy work and lobbying successes benefit all our members. We use your experiences and your concerns to inform what we do and to support our efforts to moderate or modify legislation and regulations which impact on our members and their businesses.

Our policies encompass all aspects of landownership and rural life with a particular focus on the protection of private property rights and the facilitation of rural economic development.

In the South West, your regional team provides advice and rural representation as well as a range of social and professional benefits for over 5,000 members in:

  • Cornwall
  • Devon
  • Dorset
  • Gloucestershire
  • Somerset
  • Wiltshire

Each county has a Branch Committee with representatives from the membership. Committee members are the eyes and ears of the CLA in each county and form an important role in formulating national policy, ensuring views and concerns of members in the South West are taken into account with CLA national lobbying.

Branch Committees meet before each CLA Council meeting three times a year.
