GN22-24 Major Infrastructure and Compulsory Purchase - Getting Your Voice Heard

Many members are affected by compulsory purchase for all sorts of schemes, from general development to electricity schemes to roads. Often it can be difficult for landowners to get their voice heard. This guidance note helps to explain the process and help landowners find the best time to try and influence the scheme – often this is very early on in its inception. Of course many of the schemes have been around for years before they even get to the application stage, so managing your time and resources are important, as often your costs at this stage will not be covered. As always the CLA is there to advise so please make contact with your regional office.
