The first of two webinars providing the latest industry updates for farmers and land managersThe first Farm Business Update webinar titled ‘The Nuts and Bolts’ included a presentation from guest speaker Simon Cowell. Simon is an arable farmer using no-till, homemade compost and soil life to reduce artificial inputs who was crowned 2018 Soil Farmer of the Year. He covered the practical and financial implications of changing farming systems to maximise soil health.
There were also presentations from Affinity Water and Cambridge Water discussing water quality, the NFU’s Richard Wordsworth covering the changing support scheme landscape and Alan Jones, Environment Agency, and Mel Holloway, MJH Consultancy discussed Farming Rules for Water.
