Green Futures 2023: Webinar 1 on 24th January 2023

The first Green Futures 2023 event this year has the theme 'Water: Save and Protect'. This event will feature Graham Dixey from the Environment Agency looking at inspections and compliance to protect watercourses. What to expect if you get an inspection - speakers from Severn Trent and Anglian Water will be looking at what help they can give to farmers to help improve the quality of the water they extract. To round off the event before questions, Bob Marsden will look at what help a Catchment Sensitive Farming officer can give and opportunities with water-related Defra capital grant funding under the Agricultural Transition Plan. This virtual online event takes place on Tuesday, 24 January 2023 between 1pm and 2.20pm.

Green Futures 2023: Webinar 2 on 31st January 2023

In this event speakers from Defra, the CLA and the NFU will discuss the detail of ELM for 2023, outlining the opportunities under Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI), Countryside Stewardship and wider natural capital. If, as anticipated, the detail is announced prior to the event, we will be told what SFI standards will be available in 2023, key requirements under those standards and payment rates. We will see how the SFI application process works and key things to consider prior to making your application. The session will also run through renewals and extensions of existing stewardship schemes and the options available. Finally, we will hear about the opportunities for private income streams through wider natural capital, including how this might run alongside ELM. This virtual online event takes place on Tuesday, 31 January 2023 between 1pm and 2.20pm.
