Derbyshire Wildlife Trust Wild Peak project

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is launching its Wild Peak project, which aims to connect, restore and create wild spaces across the Dark Peak.

Part of the project is looking at nature-led land management, income generation and how they can support land owners, whether this is through guidance on what government schemes to join (ELMS, EWCO, HLS) or setting up nature-based enterprises such as glamping and guided wild walks.

The project is also looking at the feasibility of species reintroductions including pine marten, beaver and black grouse.
