New Chairman for CLA Worcestershire
Iain Morrison has been elected Chairman of the Worcestershire branch of the CLA
Solicitor Iain Morrison has been elected Chairman of the Worcestershire branch of the Country Land and Business Association (CLA), which has been representing landowners, farmers and rural businesses since 1907.
Iain is a partner in the regional law firm mfg solicitors and heads up the Agricultural and Rural Affairs Division. With over 25 years experience in private practice, Iain acts for many landowners and farmers across Worcestershire and beyond and is recognised in Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 as a leading practitioner in agricultural law.
Speaking about his appointment, Iain said:
“It is a great honour to be voted CLA County Chairman and I take on this role with many challenges facing farmers and landowners. The key priorities will be to review the details of the regulations that will be bringing about transition towards the new government scheme of Environmental Land Management and to ensure that the members in Worcestershire are supported through this period.
Climate Change will be an ongoing priority with the ambitious target for farming businesses to achieve net zero and again I hope that we can support members through these changes”
Jon Clifford, of Thursfields Solictors is elected Vice Chairman.
