CLA's Succession Planning Roadshow
The ongoing viability of a business, as well as future family harmony can hinge on succession planning. It is infamous for being a subject that is constantly pushed to the back of people’s minds and to do lists, but it is actually one of the most important tasks facing any farmer, landowner or rural business.
The CLA are undertaking a national roadshow, as part of our ongoing support to our membership, which will offer advice and assist with all aspects of succession planning. Throughout October and November, the Midlands team will host a series of Succession Planning Roadshows, sponsored by Irwin Mitchell.
At these events the CLA tax team and our sponsors Irwin Mitchell will be available to talk through the practical, tax and legal considerations, using illustrative case studies to help demonstrate how to navigate the succession planning process with the aim of taking the stress and pressure out of talking about this sensitive subject.
We would encourage our members to attend and feel free to bring family members along so that everyone can understand the subject thoroughly before any decisions are made.
