The Country Land and Business Association (CLA) Big Breakfast at the Royal Three Counties Show
Nearly 200 members and non-members joined the Midlands team for this year’s CLA Big Breakfast
The CLA Midlands team once again welcomed land and rural business owners to the Big Breakfast event, which was generously sponsored by mfg solicitors and The Rural Planning Co.
A staple for members and non-members alike and a great way to start their Royal Three Counties Show experience, guests flocked to the Member’s Pavilion early in the morning to enjoy a locally produced, full English breakfast, whilst networking with colleagues and friends.
The morning started with CLA Midlands Regional Director, Sophie Dwerryhouse welcoming everyone to the breakfast, sharing a brief history of the show and introducing the speaker, CLA President Victoria Vyvyan.
What a way start to the Royal Three Counties Show. I look forward to this event each year! It gives our participants the perfect opportunity to meet, be entertained by and learn from our President, Victoria Vyvyan about the latest work the CLA is carrying out.
CLA President, Victoria Vyvyan spoke about the latest policy work and matters affecting members including the key topics of planning and affordable housing, then hosting a question and answer session.
Attendees asked about various topics including land and wealth tax, Victoria’s thoughts on the direction the next government might take us in, the land use directive and water contamination.

Next year’s CLA Big Breakfast will be held on Friday 13th June. This event will be available to book early in 2025, keep an eye on CLA emails and the website to be the first to book your tickets.
