Wye Valley Water Quality Survey

In 2021 the CLA and NFU carried out a joint survey to gauge awareness of water quality issues within the Wye catchment.

In 2021 the NFU and CLA carried out a joint survey amongst our members to gauge awareness of water quality issues within the Wye catchment.

This resulted in 45 responses from farming businesses within the catchment. While the survey was open to respondents in England and Wales, the majority of respondents (93%) were located within Herefordshire.

All those who replied to the survey said they were aware of phosphate issues in the Wye catchment.
