CLA delivers Yorkshire farm produce to foodbank in Pudsey

The CLA last week supported local charity Pudsey Community Project’s foodbank and community pantry, which serves an area of 20,000 households in West Leeds.

CLA Director North Harriet Ranson delivered essential Christmassy food to Pudsey Community Project to benefit their food provision which supports 400-500 people each week of the year.

Richard Dimery, Director at Pudsey Community Project, said:

“We very much appreciate the generous locally grown food donation from the CLA as it will assist our efforts to support the needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged households in our area to put food on their families’ tables at Christmas. We are grateful for the wonderful quality items showing the range of Yorkshire produce.”

The CLA’s Director North, Harriet Ranson, said:

“The donation to Pudsey Community Project’s foodbank is a reminder of people who, for whatever reason, are dependent on food banks for their survival, around 3.12 million people across the UK. It really highlights the need for Britain to have safe, affordable and reliably available, quality food, which British farmers work so hard to produce for us all.”
