CLA North meets with LDNP Partnership Chair
CLA North meets with Chair of the Lake District National Park Partnership to discuss issues pertinent to the Lake District and CumbriaCLA Director North, Lucinda Douglas, along with CLA North’s Rural Surveyor, Robert Frewen met with Celia Caulcott, Chair, and Veronica Fiorato, Partnership Manager for the Lake District National Park Partnership at Aske Stables near Richmond.
As a long-standing partner, issues pertinent to the Lake District and Cumbria were discussed including: the lack of affordable housing for local people; drainage issues and the creation of an Internal Drainage Board; access pressures during peak holiday season; grid capacity; exploring the reasons why Cumbria had the lowest uptake of SFI, as well agricultural property relief and much more.
