Meeting with Julia Aglionby, PPC for Solway & Penrith

CLA Director North Lucinda Douglas, and Regional Surveyor Robert Frewen hosted a constructive meeting at Penrith Auction Mart with the Liberal Democrat candidate for the new Penrith and Solway Constituency, Julia Aglionby.

After Julia set out her priorities, CLA members in attendance also raised their concerns about the prosperity of the local rural community; inclusive of ensuring government supporting food production; reducing red tape in managing holiday lets; the current regime for EPCs and MEES; planning; broadband connectivity; the slow roll out of ELMS or the lack of understanding within the Environment Agency of farming practices.
