Two more organisations in the East have recently been awarded grants from the CLA Charitable Trust (CLACT), to help connect young people with nature and the countryside.

The trust is funded almost entirely by subscriptions and donations from members of the CLA, and has recently approved the following applications in the region.

  • Belvoir Cricket & Countryside Trust in Nottinghamshire has been given more than £2500 towards outdoor learning days for children with additional needs.
  • In Suffolk, the Green Light Trust has been awarded £5000 to support its nature-based wellbeing and education programmes.

Since its foundation in 1980, the trust has given £2m in grants to a wide variety of organisations and projects.
