A CLA guide to help prospective parliamentary candidates understand the complexities of the rural economy
With an election taking place this year the CLA is seeking to ensure politicians from all parties have a good understanding of what future policies are needed to boost the rural economy.
The CLA East team is meeting a range of prospective parliamentary candidates across the region via online video calls, farm visits and at agricultural shows.
In preparation for the election, the CLA has produced a pack of information highlighting the CLA’s six new ‘missions’ – covering topics such as profitable and sustainable farming, affordable housing, rural crime and delivering economic growth in rural areas.
