APPG report - The Rural Premium

The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Rural Business and the Rural Powerhouse has released a detailed report exploring the cost-of-living crisis in rural areas.

Researched and funded by the CLA, including evidence from more than 25 industry bodies, the report highlights the extent of the government's failings when it comes to employment, housing, energy and enterprise within rural communities.

CLA President Mark Tufnell says: "Successive governments have turned a blind eye to the vulnerability of the rural economy - while outdated policies have damaged the financial resilience of individuals, families and businesses."
