CLA Veterans Initiative: skills framework mapping

Watch the meeting between members of the CLA Veterans Initiative as they discuss the challenges being faced and the need for a clear strategic framework

As part of its Veteran’s Initiative, the CLA aims to build a partnership to connect rural employers, the veterans community and rural skills providers.

The skills, knowledge and experience of ex-service personnel are highly desirable, and tapping into this labour market is becoming increasingly important for land-based businesses.

With this in mind, the association has brought together a range of organisations to develop a roadmap of best practice. This group recently met for the first time to discuss the challenges being faced, the need for a clear strategic framework and how the connection between the rural community and ex-service personnel could be bridged.

Gaining overwhelming support, this partnership will be taken to the next stage. You’ll be able to read all about the outcomes of this meeting in the August issue of Land and Business magazine.
