Powered by a 19hp petrol engine, the Z122R features a 1.07m (42") twin-blade rotary deck featuring Kubota’s zero turn system easily operated with a pair of levers for precise control of forward and reverse and steering, allowing it to effortlessly mow around tricky areas such as flowerbeds.

“It’s very manoeuvrable, but can really move on and cover the ground on a longer run,” Ed explains. “The grass has always been cut with a cylinder mower, but I actually think the rotary is doing a better job.”

The Z122R is designed for comfort, featuring an adjustable high back seat, plenty of legroom with a wide foot pan and ergonomically positioned controls placed for quick, easy access. It even includes a cup holder for long mowing days.

“The Kubota has a good, comfortable operator platform and there’s a clear view over the deck,” Ed concludes. “The deck lifts up and there’s a hose slot for easy cleaning out, and on our use so far, fuel consumption looks low.”
