The latest meeting of the Veterans Rural Skills Partnership was held on 17 December 2024. The aim of the partnership is to bring together organisations and veterans support groups to pursue ways in which veterans can find employment in the rural economy.

This meeting focuses on the current pathways for veterans to work for rural businesses, the challenges involved and how these can be resolved. The meeting agreed to develop a series of actions that aim to: improve the understanding of veterans regarding rural employment; promote the unique skill sets of veterans for rural employers; and bring together organisations and support groups to consolidate more effective communication.
