CLA response to DESNZ Call for Evidence on Barriers to Community Energy

CLA recently submitted a response to the above Dept for Energy Security and Net Zero consultation on barriers to community energy projects.

Rural landowners can play a key role in small scale renewable power generation which could supply nearby communities and there is growing member interest in this area.

In our response, we draw attention to some of the key barriers which conspire to render many such projects unviable, choking off development of small-scale power generation.

We also propose some possible solutions to overcome these barriers.
