Consultation on Reforms to the Energy Performance of Buildings regime

The CLA has responded to a consultation to reforms to the energy performance of buildings regime. This consultation will be relevant to anyone who owns property in England and Wales.

This regime is the basis for Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs). The CLA has provided feedback on new metrics which may be listed on an EPC, as well as which properties may be required to have an EPC in the future. Our response has been informed by discussions with our Policy Committee. This consultation should be considered alongside a Government consultation on the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES), which the CLA will also respond to.
