This is an issue raised by Members from time to time as it can pose a real problem for landlords. The fact that possessions have been left behind in the rented property does not mean they belong to the landlord so there is no immediate right to sell or dispose of them. However, they are in the way and usually time is of the essence to clear and then re-let the property.
