CLA Charitable Trust awards £20,000 to South East organisations
Grants will help connect young people with nature and the countryside
Several organisations across the South East have recently been awarded grants totalling £20,000 from the CLA Charitable Trust (CLACT), to help connect young people with nature and the countryside.
The trust is funded almost entirely by subscriptions and donations from members of the CLA, and has recently approved applications from:
- Isle of Wight Mencap, awarded £4,0000 to help repair buildings at Haylands Farm.
- Countryside Education Trust, Hampshire, awarded £5,000 to facilitate work connecting people with rural areas.
- Friends of Frampton Farm CIC, Kent, awarded £5,000 to help support a free young farming club providing educational and care farming activities.
- Jamie’s Farm, Sussex, awarded £5,000 to support an apprenticeship programme at two of its sites.
Since its foundation in 1980, the trust has given £2m in grants to a wide variety of organisations and projects.
