The CLA was delighted to return to the first Bucks County Show in three years this week.

The show was not held in 2020 or 2021 due to Covid, but ran for the 153rd time in September.

We were joined by Judicaelle Hammond, the CLA's Director of Policy and Advice, who gave members an update on current projects, policy and recent lobbying wins.

There was also a Q&A, with topics such as water, High Speed 2 and planning covered in the session, followed by a drinks reception.

In the afternoon we hosted a roundtable session on our stand with Shadow Farming Minister Daniel Zeichner, who discussed a range of issues with members.

The CLA updated him on our Rural Powerhouse campaign and raised issues including food security, trade deals, agricultural transition, labour shortages and apprenticeships.

Members also joined us throughout the day for tea and coffee, chatted with the CLA team and enjoyed our garden area fronting onto the main ring.
