Natural England has delayed the publication of its England Coast Path proposals for the Isle of Wight, until late winter 2022/23, due to local concerns.

The section runs from the East Cowes Ferry Terminal to the western side of the Wootton Bridge, and the body soon hopes to re-engage with landowners and other stakeholders and hold site visits where appropriate.

There will be no new public access rights to the coast in this area until proposals have been approved by the Secretary of State.
