Your invitation to the CLA Sussex Branch social event and AGM
CLA South East invites members to Bignor Park for tours, talks and lunch
The CLA is delighted to be holding its Sussex Branch AGM and social event 2022 at Bignor Park Estate near Pulborough, West Sussex.
You are invited to join us on Wednesday, 5 October 2022 for a private tour of the house, drinks reception and two-course lunch, along with the opportunity to explore the wonderful gardens.

The 1,100-acre, privately owned Bignor Park Estate is situated in stunning surroundings at the foot of the magnificent South Downs. Tucked away down an impressive half mile long drive, it is majestic but with an understated style, and a quirky elegant charm, with spectacular gardens and stables. The house was built in 1820 and now accommodates the 5th Viscount Mersey along with his wife and daughters.
With assistance from Natural England, they have embarked on an ambitious parkland restoration plan, they have also converted 600 acres of farmland to organic and are engaged in major conservation schemes to encourage wildlife.
Join us for a guided tour of the house and learn about its history. Lord Mersey will lead a talk on the task of managing and maintaining the estate, followed by a delicious two-course lunch. After lunch there will be the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful gardens surrounding the house which consist of the Orchard, Zen Pond and Dutch garden to name but a few.
