Member Relations Manager South West
Sarah Fern has been appointed to this new role within the regionRecruitment has recently taken place for a new role within the organisation, Member Relations Manager, with one based in each of the six regions. The role will be focused on proactive contact with existing members to promote awareness of the benefits and support available from the CLA.
We are pleased to announce that Sarah Fern has been appointed as Member Relations Manager for the South West.
This is an exciting opportunity within the organisation which will continue to build on work done over the past 12 months. Sarah, who saw her events stop suddenly in March 2020, has been calling members for the past year, learning about their business activities, talking through the issues they are facing and being a kind ear, as well as feeding information back through to the regional and national teams. Helping us to keep a “closer ear” to what is happening on the ground and to make sure that members are fully aware of the benefits of CLA Membership. I look forward to developing this role further with Sarah and further improving the region’s engagement with our members.
I am excited to have the opportunity to take forward this new role of Membership Relations Manager, building on my knowledge and experience gained over the last 15 years as Events and Partnership Manager. The calls myself and colleagues have had with members over the last year have contributed to the decision to take a more proactive approach in maintaining regular dialogue and pass on valuable information to our policy and advisory teams. This new role will enable us to better understand our member’s needs and develop more informed and relevant support and help them make the most of their membership. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again once we are released from lockdown!
Sarah starts her new role from 1 June. Recruitment is underway for a new Events Manager for the region - see CLA Vacancies for the job description and to apply.
