As the 2024 AGM season approaches, CLA Cymru invites all members to attend our upcoming Annual General Meetings, held across Wales. These events offer an unparalleled opportunity to engage with the pressing issues affecting our rural communities, including the ongoing evolution of the Sustainable Farming Scheme (SFS) and the opening of consultations for a new National Park in North East Wales.

Iconic Venues

The venues for this year’s AGMs offer a mix of historic and innovative locations, giving members a chance to explore notable sites in rural Wales while engaging in key discussions. These special settings provide not only a unique backdrop but also insights into the challenges and successes of rural businesses and estates.

Each venue highlights different facets of Wales’s diverse rural economy, making these AGMs not only informative but also engaging and inspiring for all who attend.

SFS & Policy Updates

Director Victoria Bond and Policy Advisor Fraser Macauley will provide critical updates on the SFS and its impact on landowners and rural businesses. These meetings are also a platform to ensure your voice is heard in shaping regional policy, especially with crucial consultations on rural issues like the proposed National Park.

“Our AGMs this year are more important than ever. With significant changes in rural policy, particularly around the Sustainable Farming Scheme (SFS), these meetings provide a critical platform for members to discuss how these policies will impact our livelihoods and the future of rural Wales. Your voice is crucial in shaping our response to these challenges. I strongly encourage all members to attend, stay informed, and contribute to the dialogue that will guide our next steps.”

Victoria Bond, CLA Cymru Director
