Brecon Beacons National Park becomes Bannau Brycheiniog, CLA Cymru responds
What the National Park delivers on the ground will be the real measure of successResponding to Bannau Brycheiniog as the new name for the Brecon Beacons National Park, CLA Cymru’s Director, Nigel Hollett says:
“I understand the National Park Authority’s commitment to net-zero and its renewed focus on Welsh heritage. However, the role of the park to support the Park community by creating a great environment for sustainable business must not be forgotten alongside its mission to protect landscape, bio-conservation and provide a positive environment for education and recreation. The Bannau Brycheiniog community needs an authority that enables responsible development to take place: sustainable agriculture, tourism, amenity and service businesses, and sympathetic conversion of obsolete buildings to provide badly needed homes.”
