Brecon Beacons National Park becomes Bannau Brycheiniog, CLA Cymru responds
What the National Park delivers on the ground will be the real measure of success![Bannau Brycheiniog](https://media.cla.org.uk/images/IMG_7876_2_yUGzof9.width-1000.jpg)
Responding to Bannau Brycheiniog as the new name for the Brecon Beacons National Park, CLA Cymru’s Director, Nigel Hollett says:
“I understand the National Park Authority’s commitment to net-zero and its renewed focus on Welsh heritage. However, the role of the park to support the Park community by creating a great environment for sustainable business must not be forgotten alongside its mission to protect landscape, bio-conservation and provide a positive environment for education and recreation. The Bannau Brycheiniog community needs an authority that enables responsible development to take place: sustainable agriculture, tourism, amenity and service businesses, and sympathetic conversion of obsolete buildings to provide badly needed homes.”
